We have what we think is an interesting local photographic opportunity coming up this month to shoot the moon rise over the Charlotte city skyline and Airport.
For two nights, on September 17th and 18th, 2024, there will be a full moon which should be visible from the newly upgraded Charlotte Douglas Airport Overlook (Overlook's Website). (Overlook Location on Google Maps)
The Moon Rise on Tuesday the 17th will be at 7:24 PM and on the 18th at 7:54 PM so we suggest arriving about 45 - 50 minutes before.
Unfortunately, none of your coordinators may be available to lead this outing possibility on those dates. If anyone would like to volunteer for this, please let us know. And, if you head out one of those nights, please share your experience & photos!
