Carolina Beach State Park has several hiking trails with a variety of distinct habitats to include Venus flytrap-one of the world’s most unique carnivorous plants. The trails are easy to walk and offer an opportunity to observe plant and animal life. Nature in the park could include seeing warblers, finches, woodpeckers, painted buntings, fox squirrels, white-tailed deer, pitcher plants, sundews, and water lilies. It’s recommended to wear insect repellent. This is also a good location for capturing a sunset on the beach.
