Talking Personal Web Site for Nature and Landscape

My Nature Image collection has grown beyond the bounds of CNPAs space. So I've taken the leap and put together a personal web site. In researching doing this, I found a number of services that make it easy to post photos, but not much flexibility doing other stuff on the site. I figured how hard can it be to construct your own? I looked at some other photography sites to get an idea of how they are organized. Next, I found a software program called Sandvox that makes it fairly painless to put up web pages and edit the site. Then I needed a host server. Again, many commercial server services were available at different price points. I found one that had some introductory offers that allowed me to register a domain name and rent space on their server for about $20 per year (3 year commitment). Hard to beat that. It took some time to figure out the language of web sites and how to edit images to have the right size and look. The work has paid off (I think). Let me know what you think ....
