Default Re: Shutter Speed slow Down

Ron, I obviously am not a regular reader of this forum - but I noted no one gave a reply. I do not know what settings you are using so it is hard respond accurately. I would think that you must be using a setting that is dependent upon the camera making decisions. Av would slow the shutter speed as light levels drop with a set ISO. I do not know what Av would so in Auto ISO. I would think that Manual exposure shooting would maintain the set shutter speed - with a set ISO or with Auto ISO. If you are shooting in manual, it is possible that the issues is focus hunting. If shooting sports, I would also turn off the IS on the lens. I assume shooting sports you are using a high shutter speed. I read once what the shutter had to be set at to generate the advertised 10 fps, but do not recall it. I am sure it is in the manual and I think it is 1/800 or faster. I hope this helps some, but as your question was posted in May, I suspect you have already found the correct answer.
