Default Directions to Riverfront Park DIVERSION DAM, Columbia, SC

***Major bridge replacement so when you read the directions, just turn
at the opening in the barrel barriers*********

From I-26, take Greystone Exit to Broad River Road. So turn right going toward
Columbia on Broad River. About 1/4 mile down the road will be 2 bridges
(the Broad River Bridge). In between the 2 bridges (less than a block apart) there will be a small sign on the leftside of the road saying "Riverfront Park".
So turn left into that road.
They are replacing the bridge, so you can't miss all the construction signs.
Just turn left in between the barrel barriers between the bridges.

The actual address is 4120 River Drive because as soon as you cross the bridge,
Broad River becomes River Dr.

Once you turn in, you will see a sign that says "parking one mile", but it
really is about 1/4 mile down the dirt road. Once you get to the gravel parking
lot, you will see the pedestrian bridge that crosses over the old canal locks.
If you miss the turn, you will reach a stop light that is the intersection
of River and Sunset. So turn around and go back.

If you come from Columbia, from the State Capital, go down Main St away from the city. Main St becomes North Main at Elmwood. Keep going til you come to
the second light past Elmwood and that is River Drive that bears to your left.
Go to the end of that which will be a major stop light which is the intersection
of River and Sunset. Bear left and right past the first bridge, turn into 4120 RIver
Dr and go down the dirt road to the parking lot.

If you are coming from I-20, take the Monticello Road Exit. Turn left onto
Monticello Road toward Columbia. Go all the way to the end of Monticello
which will run into North Main St. You will see a Bilo at the end. Turn right
onto North Main . Go 2 lights and you will be at the Intersection of
North Main and Sunset. Turn right (Burger King is on the right at that intersection)
If you turn left, there will be the Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital about
2 blocks down. So turn right. Go about 1/2 mile which will be the second light
which is the intersection of Sunset and River. Keep going forward for a 2 blocks
and you will crossover the Broad River Bridge. After the first bridge, look
for "Riverfront Park" little sign and turn right onto that road which will be
4120 River Drive. see above.

If you come from the CNPA meeting. Turn right onto Harden St. out of the main
hospital parking lot. Then at the next light, turn right onto Medical Park.
Go to the end which is a light at Sunset. Turn left . If you go forward, that
will be 277.
So turn left, then the next light is North Main. (Family Dollar is on your right
and Burger King is caddy corner). Go forward. At the second light at the top of the hill will be the Intersection again of River and Sunset. Go forward to the bridge
and turn right into the road at the "Riverfront Park" sign at 4120 River Drive.
If you go further, you will run into Broad River and Greystone. Turn around.

If you come from the Laurel St. Riverfront Park, take a left on Huger.Get on
I-126 (I-26). THe next exit is Greystone. Turn right at the exit. If you go left,
that is the Riverbanks Zoo. so turn right, go all the way to the end of
Greystone. That will lead you to the intersection of Greystone and Broad River.
Turn right. Go down the hill about 1/4 mile and you will cross over the
Broad River bridge. In between the two bridges which are less than a block
apart, there will be a small
sign on the left saying "Riverfront Park" Turn left onto that road.
Go down that road that says" Parking lot 1 mile" to the gravel parking lot (which is really only about 1/4 mile).
